| Nadya Zubkov - The School Director |

| Nadya Zubkov brings a wealth of talent and experience to her position. Trained in Moscow, Nadya danced with the award winning Mikhail Berkut Dancing Ensemble as a soloist. She graduated from the Moscow Teachers Training Institute with a Masters Degree in Education and continued her studies of choreography at the Advanced Professional Improvement Courses, affiliated with the Lunacharsky State Theater Institute in Moscow (Russia). |
| Since her graduation she has dedicated herself to developing talent in young dancers. Ms. Zubkov was Artistic Director of the Ballet Department of the Children's School for the Arts in Moscow. |

| She has researched and implemented successful teaching methodologies in ballet and character dance and has received special recognition from the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation for her excellence in both teaching and choreography. Some of her former students are currently dancing in professional ensembles and theater companies, including the Bolshoi Ballet. |
| After Ms. Zubkov left Russia in 1989, she and her husband settled in Arizona. Her teaching and choreography talents were immediately recognized by local school directors. She taught Ballet Technique, Pointe, Variations and Character dance in various local schools including Ballet Arizona Academy, Phoenix School of Ballet, Stage Door, Nina Marlow School of Ballet, Tempe Dance Academy and Plumb Performing Arts Center. Based on her extensive teaching experience she developed a syllabus for pre-ballet and ballet programs, which were successfully implemented into local school curriculums. She taught "Technique and Theory of Ballet" at ASU West for several years and ran the teacher's conference "Theory of teaching Ballet. Russian Technique". She choreographed and staged several compositions at "Khadra", San Francisco's International Folk Ballet. |
| In 1993 Ms. Zubkov joined the School of Ballet Arizona, as full time faculty. Ms. Zubkov quickly became Assistant to the Director and later the Associate Director of the School as well as served on the School's Board of Directors for three years. Also, she was a co-founder of the Arizona Dance Workshop - the company, with a mission to improve dance education and the appreciation of dance in communities trough teachers' seminars, master classes and choreographies. Ms. Zubkov was teaching Ballet Technique for Arizona School for the Arts for several years and leading the Dance department of The Arizona Conservatory of Arts and Academics (both - charter schools) in 2003 - 2004 School year. |
| Ms. Zubkov choreographies include several ballets, primarily in children's repertoire, numerous compositions and miniatures, she has also staged variations from classical ballet repertoire. Her Russian Classical Ballet background and over thirty years of international teaching experience adds a distinctly unique perspective to the School's training technique. |
